Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data anzsco.com.au collects from visitors, how we handle it, and what rights you have. We deliberately keep this surface very small — anzsco.com.au is a content reference site, not an account-driven platform.

Privacy policy last reviewed by editorial team:

1. Who we are

anzsco.com.au is operated by N.S. IT Services Pty Ltd, an Australian company. We publish neutral reference content about Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) codes and the visa pathways that reference them.

We are an independent publisher. We are not a registered migration agent, we are not affiliated with the Department of Home Affairs, and we do not sell migration services on this site.

2. What data we collect

No accounts, no forms

anzsco.com.au is a read-only content site. There is no sign-up, no login, no contact form, no comment system, and no checkout. We therefore do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any other personal information from visitors.

Server access logs

Our origin server records standard web-server access logs for each page request:

  • IP address (truncated where feasible)
  • User-agent string sent by your browser
  • Requested URL and HTTP referrer
  • Timestamp and HTTP status code

These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security, abuse-prevention, and diagnostics, and then rotated and deleted. Server access logs are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile of an individual visitor.

Cloudflare analytics

The site is served through Cloudflare’s global CDN. Cloudflare collects aggregated, non-personally-identifying analytics about traffic volume, country-level geography, and bot vs. human request mix. We use this data only in aggregate.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools to understand how the site is used:

  1. Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-friendly aggregate metrics (pageviews, countries, top pages). No cookies set, no individual tracking. Always on.
  2. Google Analytics 4 — optional. Only loaded if you accept the cookie banner. Anonymizes your IP. Provides behavioural insights for improving the site. You can decline at any time and we will not load the script.

You can withdraw your analytics consent any time by clearing site data in your browser (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data). We never sell or share visitor data with third parties.

Cookies

anzsco.com.au sets one localStorage entry of its own: anzsco_cookie_consent (stores your analytics choice: “accepted” or “declined”) and anzsco-theme (your dark/light preference). Both are stored only in your browser and never transmitted to us.

If you accept Google Analytics, Google may set first-party cookies associated with the GA4 measurement (_ga, _ga_*). These are used solely to distinguish sessions and are not used for advertising. Google’s data handling is documented in their privacy policy.

Cloudflare may set a small number of operational cookies on its own behalf — most commonly __cf_bm, a short-lived bot-management cookie used to distinguish humans from automated requests. These cookies exist solely for security and CDN performance and are scoped to the visitor’s current session. Cloudflare’s cookie behaviour is documented in their privacy policy.

3. Data we do not collect

We want this to be explicit. We do not collect, store, or process:

  • Names, email addresses, postal addresses, or phone numbers
  • Date of birth, passport details, or visa application data
  • Financial information (we never take payments on this site)
  • Behavioural advertising profiles or cross-site tracking IDs
  • Health, biometric, or otherwise sensitive personal information

If you scan a QR tile and continue a conversation on a third-party AI chat service, that is a separate product with its own privacy policy — nothing about your browsing on anzsco.com.au is sent there unless you choose to scan the code.

4. Third-party processors

To operate the site we rely on two infrastructure providers:

  • Cloudflare — provides the global CDN, DDoS protection, and Web Application Firewall in front of the site. Cloudflare receives every request before it reaches our origin and may process the data described in section 2 (IP, user-agent, URL, timestamp). Cloudflare operates globally with an Australian presence.
  • Hetzner Cloud — hosts our origin server, which sits in a Hetzner data centre in Germany. Server access logs described above are written on this host.

We do not share visitor data with marketing platforms, advertising networks, or analytics resellers.

5. International transfers

The origin server is in Germany and content is delivered through Cloudflare’s global CDN, which serves visitors from edge nodes around the world. Because we do not collect personal information, the only data leaving Australia is the request metadata in section 2 (IP, user-agent, URL, timestamp), which is required to actually deliver a webpage to your browser.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask us what data, if any, our server logs hold about a particular IP within the 30-day retention window
  • Request deletion of any such log entries (we will honour the request to the extent technically feasible)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled data

Visitors located in the European Union or United Kingdom retain the equivalent rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR regimes. To exercise any of these rights please email the contact address in section 9.

7. Children

anzsco.com.au is aimed at adult visa seekers, employers, and migration professionals. The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

8. Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time as the site evolves or as our infrastructure providers change their own practices. Any material change will be announced via a prominent banner on the site for at least 14 days, and the date stamp at the top of this page will be updated.

9. Contact

For privacy questions, data-access requests, or complaints about this site, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.
